FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is this the best approach to a colonoscopy?
It is an easier approach to analyzing a patient's colon due to the decreased size and increased maneuverability of the probe. Additionally, the size and shape of the probe decreases the risk of colon perforation due to contact with the lining of the colon.

What are the negative aspects of this design?
The effect of this probe touches the lining of the colon would be the same as if a traditional colonoscopy probe touches the lining of the colon. Like the conventional probe, if the probe touches the lining of the colon, there will be severe irritation, but no permanent damage.  Additionally, if the colon is perforated, there is a severe risk of infection.
